Identifying one’s self as an “artist” leaves little division between a personal life and a career life, especially with the type of art Jenni Buffington builds. Every piece she creates weaves within and throughout a story, based on the human experience. She blurs the lines of reality and dreams, while wholly innovating the practice of organizing chaos.

Jenni believes in the healing power of art. Vulnerability and expressing collective struggles and triumphs can be challenging with words. Having a tangible image to start a dialogue has been her favorite phenomenon to witness. She is consistently grateful to share her artwork in person vending shows during the Spring, Summer, and Fall and loves to hear the interpretations from so many walks of life.

"This is too unusual not to buy," a patron declared after purchasing one of Jenni's pieces, and the artist fell in love with the statement. She creates instinctively and from her heart, always. Jenni uses the materials that call to her in the moment for each piece - often found objects originally destined for the refuse.

Jenni finds her wording to be a bit of a challenge when asked about the type of art she makes. Her craft is based on the Human Soul. She works in a way with no plan or reference (most of the time), and the art often does not make a lot of sense - until it does. She relates her work to the classic tunes of the 50's and 60's - a jaunty, upbeat bright symphony of sound disguised with a dark and menacing lyric. Each unique piece reflects a story meticulously guided with care, and love, and as humans do, it often requires a second look.
